About the B’nai B’rith Alliance

The B’nai B’rith Alliance (BBA) is part of B’nai B’rith International (BBI). It serves as the regional coordination framework of B’nai B’rith lodges operating in more than 20 countries across Europe. It fosters structured cooperation among lodges while respecting national autonomy and historical diversity.


Mission

The mission of the BBA is to:

  • Strengthen Jewish communal and cultural life
  • Support education and historical remembrance
  • Providing support and advocacy for the State of Israel
  • Encourage cooperation with political and civic institutions and organization
  • Provide strategic alignment across Europe

Regional Structure

The Alliance operates through five regional frameworks:

  • The Balkan Region
  • The Scandinavian Region
  • The Mediterranean Region
  • The Central European Region
  • The German/Dutch-Speaking Region

Each region coordinates its lodges while participating in the broader European alignment of the Alliance.


Governance

The BBA is guided by elected officers and regional representatives. It operates through structured consultation, coordinated initiatives and shared strategic objectives.

Institutional Role
